VENUE
We count ourselves fortunate to have booked Harmony Maidstone, a local charitable Performing Arts organisation, with a fabulous theatre. Please do check them out!
The venue comfortably seats up to 80 people.
Their website is HERE
ACCESSIBILITY
The building is accessible and has facility for wheelchair drivers.
If you are a performer, please note that the stage and backstage area are accessed by stairs.
PARKING
The venue is in a residential area so parking is limited, but the venue has a plan. Please car-share where possible. Priority for spaces will be given to Disabled parking and performers who need to bring props/costumes etc.
AUDIENCE
What you can expect from a watching and supporting a show with ‘I Can Cabaret’
BAR? – yes the venue will be running a bar.
You will be purchasing a ticket to an original Variety Performance which should wow you, make you laugh, cry, maybe pee a little, or be puzzled and challenged - not quite sure what you have just seen. If you are coming to our event it is very likely that you are here to support a friend or relative with their dream to perform on stage. Cheer loudly, be kind and consider that you could be the most important person in the audience for at least one of our Acts.
You may be a virgin yourself to the entertainment world of Burlesque and Drag performances. Be warned, the air may be blue and there may be an escaped nipple or two. Trust me if I say you are less likely to be more embarrassed about it than the Act who ‘let it slip’ (unless it was your mum on the stage). Hence the 18+. If you are easily offended, you may be in the wrong place!
All of the money raised from your ticket will be used to make this event possible for the acts – your friends, family and community. This is being run as a not-for-profit event. Any money raised will go forward to future ‘I Can Cabaret’ events, Harmoney Maidstone - the Charity-run venue and a donation in support of the Maidstone Pride 2024
